ARTIST SUBMISSIONS

EVO Universe is growing.  We have many great projects in the works for 2016.  One of those projects is the upcoming comic book series based on The First  novels.  While we have the writing covered, we are looking for an illustrator to partner with us. 

 

Below please find the job description and criteria for suitable candidates.  

 

 

COMIC BOOK ARTIST

 

Seeking a professional to serve as the primary illustrator in the co-creation of The First  comic book series. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create all artwork to be used in Volume I of the series

  • Meet deadlines as directed by EVO leadership

  • Create concept artwork for review and approval

  • Create promotional artwork for comic book series

  • Devise final versions of artwork based on leadership's guidance

  • Penciller with inker capabilities a plus, but not required

  • Occassionally appear on YouTube and other public appearances, as required, to promote work

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Impeccable illustration skills

  • Strong aptitude for interpreting storyline and translating into visuals

  • Exceptional collaboration skills for artist will have to work closely with the Author and Founder

  • Understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and ability to adhere to schedule

  • Capable of producing top quality work

  • Committed to the success of the project and partnership

  • Team player with a strong willingness to learn

  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision

  • Highly creative, well rounded and inclusive individual

  • Ability to deal with some media exposure - i.e. appearances at ComicCon, YouTube, etc.

  • Availability for some light travel

  • Seasoned professionals preferred, however, we welcome submissions from college level applicants as well

 

 

Please note, this is not an employee based position at EVO Universe.  It is a contract position for Volume I only.  Depending on the performance of the selected illustrator, EVO Universe would extend the contract to include future volumes.  As we continue to expand and based on performance and leadership capabilities, there will be opportunity for the professional to serve as the Arts Director at EVO Universe.
